Working Remotely

What a boring traveler I am. I haven’t been to Manhattan in a couple years, I have an entire evening to myself where there is no rain, comfortable temperature, and an opportunity to explore — and instead, I go grab a quick bite and sit in my hotel room reading with the tv on in the background. Just wasn’t in the mood. What is up with that?

I spent about 10 hours sitting in Microsoft’s NYC office, meeting with a customer for most of that time, but just sitting there plugged into the network and getting some work done. I have to admit, being unplugged from Redmond once in a while is a great way to get some quality work done. I have been able to update my project plans, get some documentation completed, and think about strategy without the constant interruptions of office life. A much needed working break. So while I worked my regular hours, this trip has been a nice break.
