I knew it was too good to be true. After being out with the flu/mild bout of strep throat, I went into the gym early Saturday morning and had a solid workout, only to find myself weighing in at 201.6 lbs. I was not eating my full calorie load, and so I recognized that this was somewhat of a fluke, but enjoyed the day anyway.
So after a full weekend of regular caloric intake and exercise, I met with my trainer again this morning and had a nice workout. My total for the morning? 203.6 lbs. So….not as bad of a rebound as I thought, and I am still on the downward trend overall. Just to make sure, I went upstairs to the 20-20 office and weighed myself there fully clothed, and, minus the 4 lbs for casual clothes, got the same number. That’s 20 lbs in 6 weeks, folks.
Where I’ve slacked off since being sick is in my daily steps — my personal goal is 10,000 a day (roughly 5 miles), and I was going great there for a while before the flu hit. I reached my goal again Saturday and plan to make up for lost time this week.
