SharePoint Saturday has been a juggernaut in the Microsoft community for more than a decade, and I always enjoy participating in SPS Virginia Beach (#SPSVB), which is where it all began. I was slated to give the keynote in January 2018, and literally on the drive to the Salt Lake City airport I thought it probably made sense to check the weather reports….and heard that the east coast was being hit by a blizzard. I pulled into a gas station and checked my email to find that the event had been put on hold, and I turned back around.

There is no blizzard happening in Virginia this year (at this moment), however I’m off the road (mostly) until mid-February when I head back over to Copenhagen, but was invited by SPS co-founder Susan Lennon (@susanlennon) to give a mid-day virtual keynote , with Dux Raymond Sy (@meetdux) presenting the morning keynote. Since I couldn’t be there in person, I was happy to have the opportunity to share a slightly different topic to what you often see at an SPS event on the complexities of team culture, evolving technology, and constantly changing business needs.

My session was live streamed via Facebook, but it is now also available on YouTube:

And if you’re interested in the slides, I’ve also made them available via SlideShare:

Hopefully I can make it to #SPSVB 2020, as its always one of the SPS events I try to prioritize (along with SPS Twin Cities, all three South Africa events,  and a handful of other favorites). And, of course, if you’re in the vicinity, we have our very own SharePoint Saturday Utah happening on February 9th, as well as an executive pre-day called Microsoft 365 Friday on Feb 8th, both of which are free to attend and registration is OPEN.

Thanks!
