#MsftBuzzChat with Jussi Roine

Jussi Roine - SulavaFor Episode 7 of this Microsoft employee-focused interview series, I connected with Microsoft’s Jussi Roine (@JussiRoine), a former SharePoint (Office Apps & Services) MVP and Regional Director who is now an Azure Developer Audience Lead at Microsoft in Helsinki, Finland. Additionally, Jussi has been a program chair for the European SharePoint, Office 365 & Azure Conference.

I’ve known Jussi through the community for many years, and had originally connected with him about recording an #MVPbuzzChat interview just prior to his announcement of going back to work for Microsoft. So we paused on our interview until he could get started in his new role, and I was happy to finally catch up with him and learn more about his experiences.

In this episode, Jussi and I discuss his new role at Microsoft, and how much the company has changed since the last time he worked there (2006-2009). We also talk about the differences between corporate, field and evangelism roles at Microsoft, and the impact of MVPs within the community.
