December 2022 Content Wrap-Up

KauaiWell, December started out great, but ended up with a minor hiccup. At the start of the month, I was speaking at the European SharePoint, Office 365 and Azure Conference (#ESPC22) in Copenhagen, Denmark. After a few days at home, I took a much-needed vacation with my wife and inlaws in Kauai, Hawaii, staying at the massive Marriott resort in Lihue, one of our favorite places on the planet. Upon returning home for the holidays, we saw more inlaws, cousins, nieces and nephews, children and grandchildren. It was a really nice Christmas break. The hiccup is that I am no longer with AvePoint, but am actively looking for work. Thankfully, within hours of sharing my new work status, I had multiple people within my network reaching out with ideas – and even a couple of soft offers. Nothing to share just yet, but I am hopeful that I will have news to share within the next few weeks. In the meantime, I’ve picked up some project work, and am looking for some additional channel and marketing-related consulting work for Q1.

As for content, I’ve now completed 16 months of daily blog posts, and am going strong with my goal of 730 days of continued posts. Here is what I produced in the month of December:

#CollabTalk TweetJam

As always, the final tweetjam of the year is reserved for a review of the year’s announcements and product releases, with some predictions for the coming year. And as always, it’s usually one of the larger tweetjams, and this year was no different. Thanks again for all who participated in our 11th year of tweetjams. Looking forward to kicking off Year 12 on January 25th!

Interviewing Jeff Teper at #ESPC22#ESPC22 Activities

With #ESPC22 now behind us, and #ESPC23 planned for Amsterdam in November, we’ll see a trickle of the content we created in Copenhagen in the coming weeks. Below are 4 of the one-on-one interviews that I conducted as one of the Community Reporters, including an interview (I was off-camera for this one) with Microsoft President of Collaborative Apps & Platforms, Jeff Teper. Be sure to check it out!

Microsoft 365 Ask-Me-Anything (#M365AMA)

Another month, another 11 community questions that we sat down and discussed — with our usual side discussions and joking around. I really enjoy producing this content, and the audience continues to grow.

One-Off Article

I had a few more articles lined up, with a couple in draft form, but they were sidelined by AMAs and other content. More content coming in January (of course).

Community Interviews

Some exciting plans coming up in 2023, which I hint at in a blog post, followed by this month’s MVP interviews and a couple long-play #CollabTalk Podcast interviews with two fellow MVPs on the topic of Microsoft Viva.

Music Posts

A healthy portion of music posts this month, kicking things off with a big one: my ranking of all of the Cure albums. I had been sitting on that one for a while, trying to decide the order. If you are a fan, you may not agree with my results. I may change my mind in a couple weeks, but as of publication, this was my ranking. Check it out.

Blatant Self-Promotion

Just the one post this month.

That’s it for content for 2022. In January, I am heading to Minneapolis for M365 Twin Cities (#M365TC) where I will once again join forces with my good friend Tom Duff (@duffbert) to share some of our favorite M365 productivity tips. I’m also going to spend a few days with my daughter, son in law and grandkids. Planning is also underway for CollabDays Utah on March 3rd, with CfS coming soon.

Hope everyone had a great holiday season, but it’s now time to get back into it! Let’s do this.
