Podcast Goals

For those of you who have been watching, I’m more than 7 months into my daily blog posts. If you’re new to the site, you can see the breakdown of this content within my monthly content wrap-ups which typically post on the 1st or 2nd day of each month. My goal is to post daily for at least one year. I’ll see how I feel about it at the end of August when I hit the one-year mark.

One of my other goals over this past year has been to expand my podcast with consistent posts every Monday and Friday. You can find the #CollabTalk Podcast on every major platform. I thought I’d take a moment to expand a bit on what, exactly, I am posting each week:

The #CollabTalk Podcast – new content every Friday

While I had been capturing and posting various interviews on YouTube for several years, I’ve been redirecting much of this effort into my podcast content. The idea behind CollabTalk, which was originally created as a brand around the CollabTalk TweetJam when it was launched back in January 2012, was never meant to focus solely on Microsoft technology, but on the broader category of collaboration. As I tell the audience within my intro for each episode, my goal is to “discuss the convergence of technology, business productivity, and collaboration culture.”

Since the majority of my work has focused on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, the majority of guests have been MVPs, Regional Directors, and influencers within the community, such as Vesa Juvonen, Sue Hanley, Darrell Webster, and this week’s guest, Richard Harbridge. However, I’m been branching out into other clouds and interviewing leaders from a variety of industries, such as Tarush Aggarwal, Founder and CEO of 5x; Eliav Cohen, the founder of TheBotLab.io; Rob Telson, VP of Worldwide Sales at BrainChip; and Tim Kulp, Chief Innovation Officer at Mind Over Machines and a member of the Forbes Tech Council.

As you can imagine, it takes some effort to keep a weekly schedule filled with new content — and I’m doubly busy filling the schedule for both the primary podcast AND my MVP interview series, mentioned below. I usually have 3-4 episodes recorded in advance, giving me some flexibility in my travel schedule, but I’m always looking for new guests and topics. If you are interested in participating in the series, please reach out to me. I have a Calendly link I send out to interested guests that confirms my availability across both my work and community (CollabTalk) calendars.

The #MVPbuzzChat interview series – new content every Monday

Launched back in March 2018, the #MVPbuzzChat interview series hit the interweb with my interview with Harjit Dhaliwal, a former MVP who now works for Microsoft. The purpose of the series was threefold: First, to get to know other MVPs from around the world and across all of the many specialties; Second, to highlight the work and content of my fellow MVPs and help showcase all of their interests, projects, and extracurricular activities; and Third, to show the consistent patterns of their activities and similar journies to becoming an MVP so that anyone interested in pursuing the program as a goal can see how others have reached this goal.

I am constantly connecting with new and seasoned MVP and RDs, usually through LinkedIn, and inviting them to participate in the series. If you are interested in past episodes of the series, you can find them all on the top nav. I’m updating the list regularly, with links to the blog posts, YouTube videos, and podcast for each episode. If you are a current (or past!) MVP or RD and would like to participate in the series, please contact me! As with the CollabTalk Podcast, I’ll send you a specific #MVPbuzzChat link so that we can schedule some time to connect.
